About this role
Indie Campers operates a digital marketplace for campervan rentals across multiple continents, and this casual role supports their Auckland depot operations. You'd report to the Branch Operations Supervisor and handle the practical work that keeps their fleet ready for guests: cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors to company standards, inspecting vans before bookings, managing equipment at the depot, and handling logistics like moving vehicles or collecting clients from the airport. The role combines hospitality with hands-on maintenance—your attention to detail directly affects the customer experience and vehicle condition.
The position suits someone with a valid driver's licence who's comfortable with physical work (walking, crouching, bending, standing for long periods) and can adapt to irregular schedules including weekends and public holidays. You'll need solid communication skills, an eye for cleanliness and condition issues, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accurate records. Immediate availability is required.
Beyond the casual pay structure, Indie offers performance and referral bonuses, free road trips to experience their service firsthand, and a pathway into field operations or head office roles as the company continues to grow. If you're a travel enthusiast who values working for a mission-driven, fast-growing tech company and want hands-on variety in your work, this could be a good entry point.
