About this role

Path Robotics is seeking someone to support the operation and maintenance of its autonomous welding cells on a weekend schedule (Friday–Sunday, 6 AM–6 PM) in Columbus. You'd work directly with customers to ensure their equipment runs smoothly, troubleshoot issues across electrical, mechanical, and vision systems, perform preventative maintenance and repairs both on-site and at customer locations, and help integrate these sophisticated robotic systems into manufacturing environments. The role requires you to read schematics and blueprints, monitor cell performance, record diagnostic data for engineers, and occasionally learn to operate systems via command prompts and code changes.

This position suits someone with hands-on technical training or an associate degree in engineering technology, ideally with manufacturing equipment experience. You should be comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, have some welding background (certification not required), and ideally bring fabrication or machine shop experience and basic Linux familiarity. The work is physically demanding—lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces—and involves 10–20% travel. A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for learning are essential, as are adaptability and strong customer support skills. Spanish fluency is a bonus.
