About this role

WorldStrides is looking for someone to serve as a ground-level coordinator for student travel groups moving through Chicago's airports and transit system during their peak season. You'd meet arriving and departing groups at O'Hare and Midway, guide them through public transportation, and supervise them during layovers—essentially being the on-site problem-solver and steady presence that keeps educational travel logistics running smoothly. The work is hands-on and people-focused, requiring you to stay calm when issues arise, communicate clearly with both students and staff, and think on your feet.

This temporary position runs February through June with no fixed schedule; shifts vary based on group volume and company needs. You'll need genuine availability during those months and comfort with physical demands—standing for extended periods and handling luggage up to 30 pounds. The role suits someone with customer service experience who enjoys working with student populations, knows Chicago's geography and transit system, and can manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. WorldStrides offers schedule flexibility, mileage reimbursement, and paid downtime as part of the arrangement.
