About this role
Eliot Community Human Services is hiring an Engagement Coordinator for its accredited Clubhouse program, a member-driven day service for adults with serious mental illness. In this role, you'd work primarily in the culinary unit, facilitating daily lunch preparation, grocery shopping, and menu planning alongside members while supporting their broader goals around employment, education, housing, and community connection. The work centers on psychosocial rehabilitation principles—helping members develop vocational skills, build meaningful relationships, and navigate practical supports like entitlement benefits and independent living resources, all within a person-centered framework that prioritizes member autonomy and input.
You'll need a bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field and direct experience working with adults experiencing severe mental illness. The position requires a valid Massachusetts driver's license and involves some member transportation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, at the Burlington, Vermont office. The hourly rate is $21, and the role includes comprehensive benefits: paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) matching, life insurance, and access to professional development and tuition reimbursement.
This is a good fit if you're drawn to recovery-oriented mental health work, comfortable in a collaborative program where members shape services, and interested in supporting people across employment, housing, and community integration alongside day-to-day program operations.
