Description
Our client is looking for a skilled and compassionate Young People’s Substance Use Worker, to work within a highly respected social justice and harm reduction charity based in Oxfordshire.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Manage a diverse caseload of young people aged 8–25, delivering support across community settings and family/children’s centres.
- Maintain a well‑structured diary, incorporating travel time, visit planning, and case management tasks.
- Use digital systems confidently while working remotely and without regular in‑office support.
- Record and manage travel time accurately within diary.
- Conduct risk‑managed, trauma‑informed interventions tailored to each young person’s needs.
- Lead “walk and talk” sessions, with expenses claimable (up to £5 for the worker per session).
Ideal Candidates:
Experience in substance misuse / drugs & alcohol work.
Background supporting young people in community settings with risk‑based work.
Experience with young people aged 8–25.
