About this role

iCapital's Abu Dhabi office is seeking a Vice President to lead its Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorist Financing, and Counter-Proliferation Financing compliance function. In this role, you would establish and oversee a risk-based AML program tailored to the firm's UAE operations, serving as the primary regulatory contact with UAE authorities and the Financial Intelligence Unit. You'd investigate and report suspicious activity, monitor evolving regulations, and ensure the firm's EMEA distributor agreements meet local requirements.

The ideal candidate brings 10–15+ years in alternatives, with demonstrated expertise in private funds, registered investment advisors, and fund structuring within the UAE and broader Middle East. You should have deep knowledge of AML/KYC requirements specific to private fund investors and distributors across EMEA, combined with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across internal teams and with external clients. A law degree is valued but not required; what matters more is your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, drive process improvements, and maintain professionalism in both client-facing and internal contexts.

This is a full-time, in-office position with a four-day office requirement and Friday flexibility to work remotely.
