Facilities Technician

Location: Flanders, NJ

Garonit Pharmaceutical is seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and daily operations of our growing pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Flanders, New Jersey. This role will focus on maintaining building systems, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, lighting, painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Monitor facility systems, including compressed air, water, and other utilities.
• Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and inspection readiness.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors during maintenance and repair activities.
• Support facility inspections and ensure compliance with Company safety procedures and standards.
• Assist with equipment installations, facility improvements, and general facility setup as needed.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, and facility concerns.
• Support emergency maintenance situations and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred.
• 2+ years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, laboratory, or other regulated environments is a plus.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, SOPs, and Company policies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $23.00–$27.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related considerations. This position is also eligible for consideration for a discretionary year-end bonus, based on Company and individual performance. Any bonus is discretionary and is not guaranteed.

About The Role

This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt), onsite position based at our Flanders, New Jersey facility. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional overtime, weekend work, or emergency maintenance support based on operational needs. The Facilities Technician will work in an active pharmaceutical manufacturing environment and play an important role in maintaining facility safety, functionality, and inspection readiness.
