About this role
GeoTek Operations, a geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing firm with offices across the Southwest, is hiring a Driver/Concrete Pickup at its Las Vegas location. The role involves collecting construction samples throughout the valley, transporting them back to the office, and maintaining accurate logs—work that requires safe driving, comfort navigating active construction sites, and the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, dispatchers, and clients. You'll be handling materials that weigh 60+ pounds regularly and working outdoors in varying weather conditions, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights.
No prior experience is necessary; GeoTek will train someone willing to learn the work. The position typically leads into a full-time field technician role, making it a genuine entry point into the construction testing field rather than a dead-end job. You'll need a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, the physical capability for the demands listed, and reliable manual dexterity and vision. The salary range is $19–$23 per hour. If you're looking to start a new career in construction or materials testing and can handle outdoor physical work, this is a structured pathway to do so.
