About this role
GRVTY is hiring a Systems Administrator for a contract role supporting a mission-critical project in Reston, Virginia. You'll manage both Linux and Windows infrastructure alongside a team, handling everything from routine enterprise support to complex storage troubleshooting. The work spans Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, systems administration across multiple operating systems, and hands-on work with storage technologies including RAID, disk partitioning, and encrypted file systems.
This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph—a non-negotiable baseline. Beyond that, you need solid systems administration experience, proficiency scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages, and a working knowledge of file systems, storage interfaces, and disk management. Digital forensics or storage recovery experience is essential, as is the ability to troubleshoot damaged or non-standard storage devices. Strong communication skills matter here; you'll need to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
The position offers a salary range of $150,000 to $250,000 and includes comprehensive benefits covering healthcare, retirement, paid time off, and professional development. This is an in-office role in Reston, suited for someone with clearance already in hand who wants to apply deep technical expertise to a government contracting environment.
