About this role

Financial Technology Partners' London office is looking for an intern to support its Private Capital Markets and Financial Sponsor Coverage teams over five months starting January 2027. You'd be working on deal sourcing, execution, and relationship building within the financial technology sector—a space where the firm has advised on some of the largest recent transactions. The role combines client-facing work with internal operations, including building data infrastructure and managing the firm's network of equity and debt investors and financial sponsors globally. This is hands-on work alongside senior bankers, many recruited from Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and similar institutions.

The internship suits candidates with prior investment banking experience or related deal exposure, ideally with existing connections to financial sponsors and investors. You'll need strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure on tight deadlines, and a collaborative mindset. A UK degree (Finance or Accounting preferred, minimum 2:1) and UK work authorization are required; the firm does not sponsor visas. High performers can convert to a full-time two-year Analyst role in June 2027.

This is a genuine path into a boutique investment bank with significant deal flow and a track record of advising on billion-dollar transactions in fintech. The five-month commitment and potential conversion offer real continuity if the role is a fit.
