About this role
Flix SE's state subsidy program is growing fast, and this role sits at the center of translating that growth into accurate financials. As Senior Operational Accountant for Contracts & Revenue, you'd own the accounting treatment of state operating and capital subsidy contracts, build forecasts and budgets at the route level, and manage the full monthly close—including revenue amortization, reconciliations, and P&L reporting. You'd also handle invoicing and receivables for your assigned states, oversee fixed asset accounting for state-funded buses, and support annual audits. This is hands-on work that requires you to move fluidly between dense contract language, general ledger accounting, and conversations with state agencies and internal leadership.
The ideal candidate brings at least five years of complex accounting experience, including strong GAAP knowledge, journal entries, reconciliations, and budgeting. Government grant or subsidy accounting is preferred; you'll need advanced Excel and PowerPoint, ERP proficiency (NetSuite or similar), and analytical rigor. The role demands someone comfortable managing multiple state deadlines and contract details while communicating clearly across teams.
Flix offers hybrid work in Dallas with standard benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) matching up to 4%; flexible time off; eight weeks of paid parental leave; and tuition support up to $5,250 annually.
