About this role
Global Relay is seeking a Junior Accountant to support its full accounting cycle across a rapidly scaling international business. You'll work in-office in Vancouver within the finance team, handling general ledger maintenance, bank and credit card reconciliations, prepaid and fixed asset reviews, lease accounting, and month-end closing procedures. The role also involves variance analysis, intercompany journal entries across multi-currency entities, audit preparation, and ad hoc tax and finance projects—giving you exposure to multiple accounting disciplines rather than a narrow specialty.
You'll need one to two years of accounting department experience, intermediate to advanced Excel skills, strong analytical ability, and meticulous attention to detail. The position suits someone who can learn new financial systems quickly, manage competing priorities, and communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. A background in multi-entity or multi-currency accounting, Oracle NetSuite experience, or time in a SaaS or high-growth tech environment would strengthen your candidacy, though none are required.
The role is full-time with occasional overtime around deadlines. The base salary range is $50,000–$60,000 CAD, with benefits including extended health coverage, paid sick days, vacation that increases with tenure, bonus eligibility, RRSP matching, and a subsidized meal program for Vancouver staff. Global Relay describes itself as a career-building environment that supports professional development, including CPA program support for candidates committed to long-term growth.
