About this role
Pacific Seafood's Westport facility is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to serve as the primary electrical expert maintaining and troubleshooting all plant systems. You'd handle everything from emergency breakdowns to planned preventive maintenance on switchgear, breaker panels, lighting, and production equipment like conveyors and corrugating machinery. This role demands someone who can diagnose complex electrical issues using specialized test equipment, replace faulty components, read blueprints confidently, and understand high-voltage systems and logic controllers.
The position requires five years of hands-on industrial electrical experience and a current journeyperson license or equivalent certification. You'll work across the facility—part office, part warehouse—collaborating with production and quality teams while coordinating with external contractors when needed. Beyond technical repairs, you'd mentor apprentice electricians, develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime, and maintain meticulous documentation. Safety compliance and adherence to the National Electrical Code are non-negotiable.
This is a full-time, in-office role in Westport, Connecticut, with a salary range of $29,000–$35,000 annually. Pacific Seafood emphasizes servant leadership and investing in team growth, so there's room to develop further if you hold or pursue advanced certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or mechanical fields, or if you gain proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems.
