About this role

Episode Six's Implementation Engineer role bridges technical delivery and customer success for a fast-growing fintech infrastructure company. You'll work across the full lifecycle of client implementations—from pre-launch planning through post-deployment support—designing and building Java-based solutions that help banks, airlines, and fintechs unlock flexible payment capabilities. The position requires you to be both a skilled full-stack developer and a credible technical partner to clients, often mentoring teammates and identifying opportunities to improve processes and build reusable components.

This role demands 3–5 years of Java full-stack development experience with at least 3 years in financial services, ideally in a client-facing context. You'll need hands-on proficiency with Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, Git, Linux commands, and secure file protocols like SFTP and PGP encryption. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are as critical as your technical chops—you'll be translating between internal teams and external clients to ensure successful outcomes. The position is based in Chennai and requires flexibility to work US shift hours.

If you thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving complex problems for real-world payment systems, and want to grow within a company that values both technical excellence and people-first culture, this could be a strong fit. Experience with payment processors, AWS, or Kubernetes is a plus but not required.
