Complete preventive maintenance assigned task on equipment at Maritime facility. This includes driving continuous improvement. This position will also help the vessel ship loading crew to safely and efficiently load bulk cargo.
- Follow all workplace and job safety procedures
- Perform preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance associates with 24/7 Maritime operations.
- Provide regular lubrication and application of each as needed
- Service mobile equipment
- Identify corrective action and troubleshooting to improve reliability of equipment and escalate issues promptly for proper resolution.
- Enter maintenance orders as necessary and communicate with maintenance department
- Control room operations to ensure vessel is loading correctly (load rate, gate control, fine mitigation)
- Understand load plan and maintain customer specifications.

Other related duties and serve as a backup resource as needed
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
- Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery
- Willing and able to pull and lift, up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards..

About this role
Enviva's Pascagoula maritime facility is looking for an operator to support 24/7 wood pellet loading operations on vessels. You'd split your time between hands-on equipment maintenance and control room oversight, keeping the ship loading process running smoothly and safely. The role involves performing preventive and predictive maintenance on maritime equipment, troubleshooting issues as they arise, operating heavy machinery like loaders and cranes, and coordinating with the loading crew to meet customer specifications and load plans.
This is physically demanding work in an industrial setting. You'll be on your feet for up to twelve hours at a stretch, often in extreme temperatures or humid conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and working around moving equipment. Strict adherence to safety protocols is non-negotiable. The position requires someone comfortable with outdoor maritime environments, willing to take on varied responsibilities, and able to communicate maintenance needs clearly to keep operations efficient.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Enviva does not sponsor visa applicants for this position.
