Description

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Senior Recruiter to support our growing engineering practices across the Midwest. The Senior Recruiter drives full-lifecycle recruitment for our multidisciplinary engineering teams with high urgency, momentum, and autonomy. Partnering directly with engineering leadership and hiring managers, you will lead strategic search intakes, execute proactive talent sourcing on LinkedIn Recruiter, manage candidate relationships, and guide offers to successful completion.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage full-lifecycle recruitment across a variety of engineering and technical disciplines, driving searches independently with high urgency, momentum, and accountability.
  • Execute proactive, outbound sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter and direct networking to engage passive candidates and build sustainable, discipline-specific talent pipelines.
  • Conduct intake sessions with hiring managers to define role requirements, clarify target candidate profiles, align on realistic salary parameters, and establish communication SLAs.
  • Guide candidates through the interview process, partner with hiring leaders to architect competitive offers, and actively manage closing discussions and counter-offer scenarios.
  • Partner closely with HR Coordinators to ensure accurate interview scheduling, efficient pre-hire logistics, and a seamless handoff to new hire onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and system hygiene in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to support transparent communication and reliable pipeline tracking.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically, 5–7 years of full-lifecycle recruiting experience, including a proven track record in a fast-paced agency/staffing firm or technical corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, including advanced search filters, project organization, and high-volume direct outreach.
  • Solid foundation in gathering search requirements and building productive, consultative relationships with hiring managers.
  • Strong closing skills in navigating salary discussions, closing offers, and proactively mitigating candidate counter offers.
  • Familiarity with modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and standard office/PC productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Teams).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills with a self-starter mindset.

Nice to Haves

  • Previous experience recruiting within Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), or related technical/consulting professional services.
  • Experience managing multi-office or regional searches across multiple locations.

About this role

Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm, is looking for a Senior Recruiter to build and manage talent pipelines for its multidisciplinary engineering practices across the Midwest. You'll own full-lifecycle recruitment with significant autonomy—from strategic intake conversations with hiring managers through offer negotiation and closing. This role demands hands-on proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter for proactive sourcing, strong relationship-building skills with both candidates and hiring leaders, and the ability to navigate salary discussions and counter-offer scenarios with confidence. You'll also maintain accurate records in the ATS and coordinate closely with HR to ensure smooth interview scheduling and onboarding handoffs.

The ideal candidate brings five to seven years of full-lifecycle recruiting experience, ideally from a fast-paced agency, staffing firm, or technical corporate environment. A bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Communications, or a related field is required, along with demonstrated expertise in LinkedIn Recruiter and modern ATS platforms. Beyond the core competencies, prior experience recruiting within architecture, engineering, construction, or related professional services is a strong advantage, as is experience managing regional or multi-office searches.

Farnsworth Group has earned Great Place to Work certification for eleven consecutive years and offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) with full company match up to 5%, medical/dental/vision coverage, paid time off, professional development, and wellness reimbursements. The role is based in Phoenix and requires in-office work, though you may want to ask your recruiter whether a hybrid arrangement could apply.
