About this role

Pacific Seafood's 13-week Central Procurement internship offers hands-on experience across the full scope of seafood supply chain operations. You'll start with a structured orientation at the corporate headquarters near Portland, then spend the summer managing real procurement projects—from Salesforce platform setup and product data standardization to vendor coordination, logistics tracking, and cost analysis. The role touches nearly every aspect of procurement: you'll work with category managers on sourcing strategy and price forecasting, manage inbound containers and cold storage logistics, handle customer orders and FDA compliance, and prepare reports on open purchases and market conditions.

This internship suits students pursuing degrees in logistics, supply chain, data analytics, or related fields who graduate no later than June 2027 and are comfortable with detail-oriented work across multiple systems and stakeholders. You'll need strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, though a 3.0+ GPA is preferred rather than required. The role demands daily communication with internal teams and external partners—from category managers to vendors to Accounts Receivable—so collaboration and clear reporting matter as much as technical competency.

At the end of 13 weeks, you'll present your work to the executive leadership team. Pacific Seafood explicitly notes that strong performers have opportunities to transition into full-time roles, making this a genuine pathway into the company rather than a one-off summer placement. Benefits include paid sick time, an employee assistance program, and a product purchase program.
