About this role
Eliot's Adult Community Clinical Services team is looking for a Behavioral Specialist I to work directly with adults managing severe and persistent mental illness in residential and community settings around Saugus. You'll deliver evidence-based interventions focused on problem-solving, skill modeling, and recovery—helping clients build toward their own goals while conducting ongoing assessments of how they're responding to support. The work is hands-on and practical, ranging from clinical guidance to logistical help with transportation and appointments.
You'll need a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, plus experience working with adults with mental illness and a valid Massachusetts driver's license. The role offers two rotating schedules: Sunday through Wednesday nights (11pm–9am) or Friday through Tuesday days (9am–5pm). The position is full-time at $20.50 per hour and includes standard benefits—health coverage, paid time off, 401(k) matching, and professional development support.
This role suits someone drawn to direct-service mental health work who values a mission-driven environment and can work flexibly across shifts. Eliot emphasizes strengths-based, culturally competent care and career growth, so it's a reasonable fit if you're early in a behavioral health career and want structured support alongside meaningful client contact.
