About this role
DMG Events is seeking a Commercial Director to own revenue growth and profitability across an assigned exhibition and event portfolio based in Hanoi. This is a strategic leadership role that combines hands-on commercial execution with team management, requiring someone who can develop and deliver ambitious financial targets while building high-performing sales teams. You'll drive new business acquisition, strengthen strategic partnerships with key accounts and sponsors, and maximize revenue across multiple streams including exhibition space, sponsorships and partnerships. The role demands both entrepreneurial initiative and disciplined financial accountability, with success measured against revenue achievement, customer retention, pipeline conversion and team productivity.
Your background should include proven senior commercial leadership in B2B exhibitions, conferences or related industries, with a track record of managing multimillion-value portfolios and delivering sustained growth. You'll need strong financial acumen, experience in complex negotiations and partnership development, and demonstrated capability in building and coaching commercial teams. Proficiency with CRM platforms—ideally Salesforce—and familiarity with AI-enabled sales technologies and data-driven decision-making are essential, as is the ability to leverage market intelligence and analytics to inform strategy.
This role suits someone who is commercially astute and results-driven, with an entrepreneurial mindset and genuine comfort translating strategy into measurable outcomes. You'll work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations and Finance to align commercial priorities with event strategy, and represent the portfolio at major industry events and stakeholder engagements.
