About The Team

  • Restaurant acquisition: You'll be prospecting, pitching, and closing new restaurants in your territory. This is mostly an inside (telesales) sales opportunity.
  • Oversee your pipeline: Take control of your own pipeline and use your organisational skills to manage your portfolio of leads and ensure strong conversion rates.
  • Oversee the partner onboarding process to ensure it is as quick, efficient, and seamless as possible
  • Ensure partner success within the first weeks from signing
  • Commercial Projects: Assist our wider commercial team with ad-hoc projects like field pitch days, restaurant marketing roll-outs, and cross-functional projects.

KPIs

  • Number of partners signed each month from the target list
  • Performance of partners signed (first 3 months)

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Must be based in Abu Dhabi
  • BSc/BA in business or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
  • Knowledge of the restaurant landscape in the UAE
  • Demonstrable sales track record with experience in prospecting, pitching, and closing deals
  • Experienced negotiator and able to structure win-win deals for partners and for Deliveroo
  • Commercially knowledgeable person who understands the economics of delivery - for restaurant partners and Deliveroo
  • Be able to maturely demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients
  • Take ownership and work towards demanding targets
  • A fantastic communicator with a "get it done" mindset, well organised and efficient
  • Fluency in English; Hindi or Arabic is a plus

About this role

Working in Deliveroo's Commercial team means driving restaurant acquisition in the UAE's competitive food delivery market. As a Business Development Manager based in Abu Dhabi, you'll own the full sales cycle—prospecting and closing new restaurant partners through telesales, managing your pipeline to hit monthly signing targets, and overseeing their onboarding to ensure they succeed in their first weeks. You'll also support broader commercial initiatives like field pitch days and marketing rollouts alongside your core acquisition work.

Success in this role requires at least two years of sales experience, a demonstrable track record in prospecting and deal closure, and genuine knowledge of the UAE restaurant landscape. You'll need to be a skilled negotiator who understands delivery economics from both the restaurant and Deliveroo perspective, with strong organizational discipline to manage your own pipeline and hit demanding KPIs. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic or Hindi adds value.

This is a full-time, in-office position within a global organization now part of DoorDash. You'll work in a fast-paced, low-hierarchy environment where ownership and execution matter, reporting directly to your city's Team Lead and collaborating across a broader commercial function tackling complex marketplace challenges.
