About this role
The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is building a litigation-focused practice in estate planning, probate, and guardianship law, and this role offers something uncommon: the chance to practice law without the business development burden. You'll lead high-stakes cases from intake through trial across multiple Texas locations, handling contested guardianships, will contests, trust disputes, and fiduciary breach claims alongside comprehensive estate drafting. The firm has invested in support infrastructure—dedicated paralegals, billing coordination, marketing, and administrative teams—so your focus remains on courtroom advocacy and strategic case management.
This position demands a seasoned litigator with at least five years of specialized experience in estate and probate matters and a Texas bar license. You'll need genuine courtroom confidence, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to represent clients through emotionally charged proceedings with both toughness and compassion. Proficiency with Clio, TxDoc, and e-filing systems is expected, along with regional mobility and a valid driver's license. Bilingual capability in English and Spanish is valued.
The compensation ranges from $90,000 to $130,000 based on experience, with bonus potential, and includes standard benefits: medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and hybrid flexibility. The firm emphasizes work-life balance and positions itself as offering institutional resources without the typical big-law grind.
