About this role
Dillard's BI team is looking for a developer to own the full lifecycle of business intelligence solutions—from extracting and modeling data through to delivering reports that drive decisions across the company. You'd work with Datastage, SQL, Python, and Korn shell to build ETL pipelines, design reports, and ensure data accuracy. The role demands strong SQL fundamentals, scripting experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues, but it also values someone who thinks critically about process improvements and communicates well across teams.
This is a fast-paced position where you'll balance structured work—developing ETL processes and standard reports—with ad hoc analysis when business units need quick answers. You'll collaborate with BI Technical Architects, participate in code reviews, and contribute to modernizing the team's infrastructure. The role requires full-time, in-office presence at the Little Rock headquarters and includes on-call rotation responsibilities. If you have hands-on experience with Python or shell scripting, advanced SQL skills, and familiarity with data warehousing concepts, you'd be a strong fit; experience with Cognos or DataStage is a bonus but not required.
