About this role
Crestwood Behavioral Health is seeking an LVN or LPT for its American River Campus in Carmichael, working on-call across day, evening, and night shifts. You would deliver direct nursing care to clients in a behavioral health setting, supervise non-licensed staff, and coordinate unit operations according to physician orders and established care standards. The role suits someone with current California licensure, solid grasp of nursing fundamentals, and supervisory capability—mental health nursing experience is preferred, and current CPR and first aid certifications are required.
This is a full-time position at a 50+ year-old organization structured around four core pillars: meaningful roles, spirituality, hope, and empowerment. Crestwood emphasizes a recovery-focused, client-centered model where staff help individuals develop skills to thrive. The compensation ranges from $35 to $40.57 per hour based on your experience, licensure level, and the program's acuity, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), paid leave, and education support.
If you're drawn to behavioral health work and value an employer invested in staff development and career growth, this role offers both clinical responsibility and the chance to grow within a larger California provider network. The on-call schedule requires flexibility, and you should be comfortable working cooperatively in a team environment focused on client recovery.
