About this role

FormativGroup is building out its Salesforce practice focused on State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) organizations, and this Account Executive role sits at the center of that expansion. You'd own a territory responsible for identifying and closing new business—ranging from $100K to $5M+ deals—while building strategic relationships with government agencies, municipalities, and educational institutions. The work combines traditional enterprise sales hunting with deep consultative selling around Salesforce implementations, managed services, and digital transformation initiatives.

Success here requires at least five years in enterprise technology sales, with a minimum of three years specifically selling Salesforce consulting or cloud solutions into the public sector. You'll need to manage complex sales cycles, engage C-level executives and procurement stakeholders, and collaborate closely with Salesforce's own field teams to co-sell opportunities. The role demands strong pipeline discipline, accurate forecasting, and a consistent track record of exceeding quota. Travel up to 30% is expected.

This is a contract position based remotely, with a salary range of $150,000 to $185,000. The ideal candidate is a business development hunter with existing Salesforce ecosystem relationships, familiarity with public sector procurement, and genuine interest in helping government and education organizations modernize their operations. If you have Salesforce certifications or experience selling data, AI, or application modernization solutions, that strengthens your candidacy.
