About this role
HP Hood, a major food and beverage manufacturer, is looking for a Parts Clerk to manage inventory and support operations on the swing shift at their Sacramento facility. You'd work primarily from a stockroom, maintaining accurate records in the MP2 inventory system, processing purchase orders, receiving deliveries, and serving as the go-to contact for internal teams needing parts or information. The role involves coordinating with vendors, preparing physical inventory counts, and assisting the Maintenance Department with assigned projects—a mix of administrative work and hands-on stockroom management.
The position suits someone with 2–3 years of parts clerk or inventory experience, ideally in manufacturing, who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with computer systems like MS Office. You'll need strong communication skills to field questions from colleagues, solid typing speed (50+ wpm), and the ability to handle light physical tasks like moving boxes up to 60 pounds occasionally. This is a contract role paying $22.25–$26.25 per hour, with benefits including health coverage, dental, vision, wellness programs, and tuition reimbursement. The swing shift schedule and in-office requirement in Sacramento are fixed elements of the position.
