About this role

WYFF 4 in Greenville is looking for someone to anchor and report traffic during morning broadcasts while also handling breaking news updates. The role combines real-time reporting on road conditions and delays with storytelling across multiple platforms—on-air, social media, the station website, and mobile app. You'll prepare graphics-driven morning reports, coordinate with producers and anchors, file field stories about transportation issues, and be ready to pivot to breaking news coverage as needed.

The position suits a journalist with commercial television experience who can think on their feet, ad-lib during breaking news, and engage viewers across different formats. You should know traffic reporting systems, be comfortable with social media, and have a solid grasp of Greenville's streets and highways. Hearst offers standard broadcast benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and paid parental leave. This is an in-office, full-time role where you'd help grow what the station sees as an expandable position.
