About this role

At iCapital, this Business Solutions Consultant role bridges customer needs and product development for life and annuity insurance platforms. You'll own the requirements phase of the software development lifecycle, translating customer requests into clear specifications that guide the development and testing teams. The work spans gathering requirements through customer interviews and documentation reviews, analyzing system impacts, evaluating solution tradeoffs, and refining specifications for clarity—all with minimal oversight once you're ramped up.

This position suits someone with at least three years in financial services or insurance, plus two years writing business and technical requirements in an SDLC environment. You'll need solid knowledge of life or annuity products and comfort with either Agile or Waterfall methodologies. The role demands independent problem-solving for routine issues, sound judgment in escalating complex ones, and the ability to anticipate questions from downstream teams to prevent rework.

The position is in-office Monday through Thursday with remote flexibility on Fridays, based in Salt Lake City, Des Moines, or Colorado Springs.
