About this role

WMUR-TV in Manchester is seeking a production assistant to support live newscast operations and post-production work. You'll operate studio cameras, teleprompter, audio equipment, and graphics systems during broadcasts, while also handling the physical demands of studio work—managing props and sets, maintaining lighting rigs, and keeping the studio environment broadcast-ready. The role requires comfort with both technical equipment operation and hands-on production tasks, including climbing to service lighting fixtures and editing promotional content in Adobe Premiere.

This position suits someone with existing broadcast or videography experience and solid editing skills, particularly in Adobe Premiere. You'll need to stay composed under the pressure of live newscast deadlines and be prepared for the irregular scheduling that television news demands. The work is in-office and part-time, making it suitable for someone who can commit to a flexible schedule around news cycles. Military experience in related fields is a consideration in hiring.
