Description

What Impact You’ll Have:

GRVTY is looking for an International Program Release Content Analyst to support NGA’s international programs mission in Springfield, Virginia. You’ll own daily review and adjudication of release content in the agency’s release review system, making sure nonstandard GEOINT products reach international programs and mission partners in line with NGA policy. You’ll also monitor the systems that deliver that content and turn what you see in the review queue into metrics and process improvements.

This is not a role for someone who just wants to clear a queue. We want someone detail-oriented and dependable who works well with SMEs, developers, and government stakeholders, and who knows that every release decision has real consequences for the U.S. and its partners.

What You’ll Be Owning

  • Perform daily review and adjudication of release content in the review queue, routing content to the right SMEs, confirming secondary review, and applying agency international policy guidance and security markings to the release of nonstandard GEOINT products.
  • Monitor release review tools and content delivery services daily to confirm access, functionality, and accurate content status, request resubmissions when needed, and support anomaly investigations with recommended resolutions.
  • Analyze trends behind manual review failures and recommend policy, system, and process changes to improve the review process.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc metrics, present weekly review summaries, and brief government leadership as required.
  • Test release workflows weekly, support system checkouts around major deployments, and work with users, developers, and PMs to find usability gaps and shape requirements for new capabilities.
  • Train and assist other analysts on release review tools and the manual review process, and provide additional training as required.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on GEOINT data formats, metadata, and NGA and IC data standards, manage SME account reviews, and keep documentation and records current.

What you Must Have:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
  • Experience with GEOINT systems, data, and collaboration environments, with a basic understanding of or mission background in source collection or source foundation and analysis.
  • Basic understanding of maps, geography, and imagery phenomenology.
  • Training in IC security policies and DoD derivative classification marking standards.
  • Ability to review GEOINT products to detect and document errors, findings, and missed requirements, and to identify gaps and recommend solutions that meet user needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work through discussions with SMEs and policymakers to reach informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing competing demands while staying flexible as priorities change.
  • Proficiency with GIS and geospatial visualization tools, text editors, and standard office productivity and document software.

What Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of foreign disclosure and release processes and international affairs strategy, mission, policy, and procedures, including experience working with a disclosure and release authority on content release decisions.
  • Experience with programs fielding systems to international partners.
  • Experience developing requirements for GEOINT systems.
  • Level 2 certification in Geospatial Intelligence or Geographic Information Systems through a recognized professional or educational organization.
  • Ability to develop and refine quality control processes, including writing instructions, procedures, and new techniques for product checks.
  • Ability to train users on reviewing various types of products, data, and intelligence reports.
  • Experience identifying changes in system behavior and reporting on operational system issues.

About this role

Supporting NGA's international programs requires someone who can make sound judgment calls on geospatial intelligence releases—decisions that affect real partnerships and operations. In this role, you'll review and approve nonstandard GEOINT products for international partners daily, applying security markings and agency policy while routing complex cases to subject matter experts. You'll also monitor the systems delivering this content, spot patterns in review failures, and work with developers and government stakeholders to strengthen processes and workflows.

The position demands a security-cleared analyst with hands-on GEOINT experience, solid grounding in IC security standards and derivative classification, and the ability to spot errors in geospatial products. You'll need strong communication skills to navigate discussions with SMEs and policymakers, plus proficiency with GIS tools and standard office software. This is a contract role based in Springfield, Virginia, paying $80,000–$100,000, and it suits someone detail-oriented and independent who sees review work not as queue-clearing but as consequential.

If you have foreign disclosure or international partner program experience, or background in requirements development for geospatial systems, you'll have an edge. The role also values GIS certifications and the ability to design quality control processes and train other analysts on review tools and methodologies.
