About this role

Eliot's Adult Community Clinical Services team is looking for a Behavioral Specialist II to support adults with severe and persistent mental illness in their recovery and daily functioning. You'd work evenings (3pm–11pm, Sunday through Thursday) in either residential or community settings, helping clients develop practical skills, work toward their goals, and navigate appointments and activities. The role combines direct client support—including behavioral modeling, problem-solving assistance, and medication administration—with ongoing assessment of how clients respond to interventions, all grounded in evidence-based, person-centered practice.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, or a related field, plus experience working with adults experiencing mental illness and a valid Massachusetts driver's license. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team where cultural competence and a strengths-based approach are central to how services are delivered. Eliot offers comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities, though the salary is fixed at $21.50 per hour.
