About this role
The City of Fort Worth's Fleet Division is building out its analytics capability and looking for someone to advance what's already been established. You'd work directly with the Assistant Director of Fleet, diving into cost studies, utilization patterns, and replacement strategies across a municipal vehicle operation serving nearly a million residents. The role demands both technical skill—SQL, Excel, fleet management software—and the ability to translate data into conversations with operations staff at every level, from mechanics to department heads.
You'll need a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field plus three years analyzing vehicle costs, replacement cycles, and performance metrics. Fleet industry experience is preferred, as is familiarity with process improvement methodologies and automotive fleet management systems. The work is based in Fort Worth with travel between service centers, standard Monday–Friday hours (7am–4pm) with occasional evening or weekend requirements. Compensation ranges from $65,563 to $85,232 annually, with a full benefits package including pension, medical/dental/vision, paid time off, and professional development support.
This suits someone who sees fleet analytics as operational problem-solving, not just reporting—someone comfortable moving between spreadsheets and shop floors, asking the right questions, and building processes that stick.
