Gulf Coast News in Fort Myers, Florida is looking for an energetic and experienced Account Executive who is looking to grow with an amazing company. Responsibilities
- Produce revenue across all available platforms
- Prospect, contact and present to new businesses
- Develop new revenue through local business development
- Form strategic and market partnerships
- Manage an active account/client list
- Conceptualize, create, and deliver sales proposals that are consistent with station strategies
- Achieve individual sales goals while contributing to our dynamic sales team
Requirements
- 1+ years in media or digital sales, or similar sales field
- Experience with the development of new business/non-traditional business
- Have strong negotiation skills
- Experience in a consultative customer-focused business atmosphere
- Accountability within a goal-structured organization
- Must be a team player
- Experience selling to business owners
- Understand and use qualitative research to further sales effort
- Spanish Bilingual Preferred
- Related military experience will be considered

The ideal candidate has at least a year of media, digital, or similar sales experience, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of developing non-traditional business. You should be comfortable in a consultative, goal-driven environment, skilled at selling to business owners, and able to use research to support your sales efforts. Spanish bilingual capability is preferred, and military background is a consideration. This is a full-time, in-office position in Fort Myers.
