About this role

Cadwell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead hardware design efforts for neurodiagnostics equipment—devices that operate in a highly regulated medical environment. You would own electronics design from concept through manufacturing, working across PCB schematics, layouts, and prototypes while ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards. Beyond your own designs, you'd serve as a hardware resource and technical escalation point for firmware, software, and operations teams, guiding others on design requirements and specifications throughout product development and launch.

This role demands deep expertise in analog signal integrity, PCB design for manufacturability, and compliance testing (EMC, FCC, CISPR standards). You should be proficient in Altium Designer, electrical simulation tools like LTSpice, and comfortable designing systems with high-speed digital signals, DC-DC converters, microcontrollers, and communication protocols including USB and Ethernet. The position typically requires five or more years of professional engineering experience, ideally in medical device design or other safety-critical, regulated industries.

Based in Kennewick, Washington, this is a full-time in-office role with a salary range of $115,000 to $135,000. The work involves standard computer use alongside hands-on testing and occasional travel, with flexibility for work outside normal hours when needed to meet project deadlines.
