About this role
Managing litigation deadlines across multiple jurisdictions and court systems is the core of this role at Crowell & Moring. You would own the firm's docketing system, translating court filings, orders, and notices into accurate deadline entries while staying current with federal, state, and local procedural rules. The work demands precision—missed deadlines in litigation carry real consequences—and requires you to be the reliable point of contact between case teams and the docket database, fielding questions about dates, procedures, and compliance requirements.
The position suits someone with at least two years of law firm docketing experience who is comfortable working across multiple software platforms and court filing systems. You'll need strong knowledge of California civil procedure and federal rules, proficiency with tools like eDockets or CompuLaw, and familiarity with PACER, Lexis/Nexis, and e-filing portals. Beyond technical skills, the role calls for someone who can prioritize competing deadlines, communicate clearly under pressure, and adapt as procedures evolve.
This is a fully remote position with a salary range of $70,000 to $110,000 depending on location, and it includes occasional travel to local courts. The work sits within a large international firm known for high-stakes litigation, which means the stakes and pace are real, but so is the opportunity to support meaningful legal work across a substantial practice.
