About the Role:
The Behavioral Technician - BA (“Tech”) is an integral member of Community Reach Center’s AWARE (“Division”) Division. The Tech provides behavioral health support services to consumers and logistical support within a drop-in center environment. The Tech provides milieu management services to promote a safe, therapeutic environment utilizing psychiatric rehabilitation and other evidence-based practice models.
Essential Functions:
- Monitors activities of daily living for clients and provides skills-training and symptom management as needed.
- Documents intervention and program activity and maintains accurate and timely clinical records
- Responsible for cooking, aiding in house laundry and clean-up of the facility
- Attends and participates in supervision, team meetings, and in-services education and training opportunities
- Provides therapeutic crisis intervention and connects to formal services when needed.
- Transports consumers to appointments or outings as needed
Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or other related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience working with adults who have mental illness, particularly those individuals diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness.
- Communication, organization, time management and clinical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a community-based setting.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting is required,
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Pay Information:
Starting Pay Range: $25-$28 per hour + shift differential
Eligible for $250/month Bilingual Stipend
