Description
Clara is the leading platform in Latin America for companies to execute and manage every payment operation. More than 50,000 leading and fast-growing businesses run on our corporate cards, bill pay, financing and B2B payments, and in 2025 the Financial Times named Clara the region’s fastest-growing company. We’re passionate about helping every company we work with become more effective—and, through that, raising the region’s competitiveness. We’re ~400 people, backed by Notable Capital, Coatue, Kaszek, monashees, DST Global, ICONIQ, General Catalyst and Goldman Sachs, among others.
What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, and demo to clients who need to get their collections in order.
- Work two client profiles: existing Clara Inteligencia Fiscal clients (Cobranza is included in the platform) and net-new companies that haven’t heard of Clara yet.
- Proactively generate pipeline through Amplemarket, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, cold outbound, and referral channels such as accounting firms.
- Clearly explain what Clara Cobranza does today: accounts receivable aging, automated reminders, CFDI issuance on collection, DSO, and multi-currency. It’s a tool that saves data entry and keeps collections in order, not an ERP or full accounting software.
- Maintain clean pipeline hygiene and accurate forecasting in HubSpot.
- Hit monthly and quarterly targets for new customers and Cobranza completa activations.
- Be the voice of the market to Product: relay prospect feedback, objections, and competitive signals via Slack and syncs with Product and Leadership.
Who you are
“We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.”
Must haves:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience with an outbound track record, ideally in fintech, SaaS, e-invoicing, or accounting.
- Experience running consultative, full-cycle sales to SMEs or accounting firms in Mexico.
- Understanding of CFDI, PUE/PPD, payment complements, and the collections workflow. You don’t need to be an accountant, but you need to understand the pain.
- Ability to explain tax topics simply to business owners and accountants.
- Self-directed: comfortable with ambiguity and with a product that is still evolving.
- Commercial integrity: you’d rather have a well-informed customer than an inflated sale.
- Hands-on proficiency with HubSpot and outbound prospecting tools.
- Experience or interest in AI tools to automate workflows and improve prospecting.
Nice to haves:
- Experience selling collections, invoicing, e-accounting, or ERP solutions to SMEs.
- A network among accounting firms.
- Experience at the early stage of a product or in pilot programs.
- Analytical skills with spreadsheets, SQL, or BI tools like Metabase to evaluate pipeline coverage.
- Advanced English.
- A good sense of humor.
At Clara, we don’t just offer a sales job—we provide an environment designed for high performance, long-term wealth, and continuous career growth.
What We Leave Behind
If you have been in sales long enough, you know the industry’s bad habits. We actively reject them:
- No “Rolodex” Hiring: We don’t hire just for connections. We value professionals who actually care to learn our product, solve real customer problems, and know how to close.
- No “Churn and Burn”: We reject the revolving door culture. When we hire you, we invest in your quick success and long-term retention.
We engineered a transparent system built to help you win big:
- #Ownership (Uncapped Potential): We deeply value the Individual Contributor. Our top-performing AEs consistently earn more than their managers, backed by absolutely zero commission caps and access to company equity. In our servant leadership model, even our CEO is building tools to help your productivity.
- #Simplicity & #Clarity (Transparent Compensation): No complex math required. Your variable compensation is directly aligned with business goals, with real-time visibility over your metrics so you always know exactly where you stand.
- #Inclusivity (Teamwork Meets Territory): We carve out clear, fair territories so you can autonomously run your own book of business, backed by a highly collaborative global team.
- #Pride (A Product That Delivers): We build exceptional spend management products that actually solve the customer’s pain points, making your pitching process smoother and more impactful.
- #ABC (An Expanding Arsenal): We never settle. Continuous platform innovation and new product launches mean you always have an ever-growing toolkit to cross-sell and hit your targets faster.

This is a hybrid role: you'll split your time between the office, customers and home. We don't set a minimum number of office days for most roles — you'll spend time in the office naturally, and most days during your ramp-up or when your leader asks.

About this role
You'd be selling Clara Cobranza, a collections management tool that pulls invoice data directly from Mexico's tax authority, to SMEs and accounting firms across Mexico City. The role demands a full sales cycle—prospecting through cold outreach and referrals, qualifying leads, demoing the product, and closing deals. You'll work with two customer profiles: existing Clara users looking to activate Cobranza, and companies new to the platform entirely. Your success hinges on translating tax and accounting concepts into language business owners actually understand, then maintaining clean pipeline hygiene and hitting monthly activation targets in HubSpot.
This hire assumes you bring at least three years of B2B outbound sales experience, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or accounting software. You'll need genuine familiarity with Mexican tax workflows—CFDI, payment complements, DSO, the collections process—not as an accountant, but as someone who understands the operational pain. The role rewards self-direction; the product is still evolving, and your market feedback directly shapes what gets built. Clara's sales model emphasizes uncapped commissions, transparent metrics, and clear territories, meaning your earnings scale with your performance and you own your book of business.
