About this role
Leading the night shift in Acme Markets' Grocery Department means owning both the operational backbone and the customer experience during your hours. You'll manage inventory flow, merchandising standards, and team performance while ensuring shelves stay stocked, displays stay sharp, and food safety stays locked down. This is hands-on work—you'll be lifting, rotating stock, executing planograms, and monitoring shrink alongside your team rather than managing from an office.
The role demands strong merchandising knowledge and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment: scheduling associates, training them, analyzing sales and labor data, and solving problems as they arise. You'll need solid communication skills to coach your team and resolve customer concerns professionally, plus the organizational chops to manage ordering, inventory control, and compliance with food safety standards. This suits someone who thrives in a structured, metrics-driven setting and genuinely enjoys developing people.
Acme offers competitive weekly pay, associate discounts, health and financial benefits for eligible employees, and paid time off. The position requires flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with no travel. If you're looking to step into a leadership role where your decisions directly impact store performance and you're comfortable with the physical and scheduling demands of night-shift grocery operations, this could be a solid next move.
