About this role
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is hiring a Van Driver to transport students from South San Francisco schools to their Orange Park Clubhouse location and home during the school year. You'll work part-time, roughly 10 hours per week across Monday through Friday afternoons, at $29 per hour. The role reports to the Director of Operations and involves managing vehicle logs, conducting routine safety checks, keeping vans clean and ready, overseeing parking lot procedures during student pickup, and handling emergency roadside situations as needed.
The position requires you to be at least 21 with a valid California driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of personal auto insurance. Mechanical knowledge is a plus, as is prior experience driving high school students. You'll need to complete onboarding training (one full day in November at their Menlo Park location) and a mandatory driving class, plus pass a background check, LiveScan fingerprinting, and TB test. Note that employment is not guaranteed for June and July, since the role follows the school calendar.
This suits someone comfortable working independently, managing logistics, and committed to supporting youth in underserved communities. If you have reliable transportation experience and can commit to the school-year schedule with its fixed afternoon hours, this could be a straightforward part-time fit.
