Product Manager - Enduser

Bitwarden empowers enterprises, developers, and individuals to securely store and share sensitive data. With a transparent, open-source approach to password management, secrets management, and passwordless and passkey innovations, Bitwarden makes it easy for users to extend robust security practices across all online activities. Founded in 2016 with headquarters in Santa Barbara, California, Bitwarden is supported by a passionate global community of security experts and enthusiasts.

As Product Manager, End-User Adoption at Bitwarden, you will contribute to the strategy and execution for how individuals and employees get started with Bitwarden and make it part of their daily routine across the browser extension, web, and desktop apps. You will be meticulous about the first-run and onboarding experience, autofill reliability, and the everyday vault workflows, such as searching, organizing, and filling, that determine whether someone keeps using the product. You will become an expert on Bitwarden persons, supporting both expert and novice users. You will partner with other PMs, Design, Engineering, QA, and GTM to build features that are simple, trustworthy, and work the way people expect, whether they are an individual or an employee rolling out a company-wide deployment. You will partner with Marketing, Support, and Customer Success on how product improvements turn into activation, retention, and fewer support requests. You will use qualitative customer feedback, usage analytics, and competitive benchmarking to inform roadmap decisions, thinking deeply about both the first-time user and the experienced power user.

  • Turn customer feedback from support tickets, community forums, and research into clear, prioritized product decisions
  • Support Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success on how the everyday experience drives employee adoption in enterprise deployments
  • Share performance metrics, roadmap updates, and wins with leadership and cross-functional partners

About this role

At Bitwarden, this role shapes how millions of people experience password management day one and beyond. You'll own the product strategy for end-user adoption across the browser, web, and desktop apps—everything from the first-run experience and autofill reliability to the everyday workflows that keep people coming back. This means diving deep into onboarding flows, search and organization features, and in-app guidance while balancing the needs of both newcomers and power users managing thousands of items.

The work spans both strategy and execution. You'll use customer research, usage analytics, and competitive data to build and prioritize a roadmap, then partner across Design, Engineering, QA, and go-to-market teams to ship features that feel simple and trustworthy. You'll also connect product improvements to real business outcomes—tracking how early experience drives activation, retention, and enterprise rollout success, and working with Sales and Customer Success to understand how the product experience translates to adoption in company-wide deployments.

You'll need at least four years of product management experience, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to translate security concepts into intuitive interfaces. The role rewards someone who's meticulous about user research and UX, comfortable with technical trade-offs, and genuinely excited about open-source security. This is a fully remote U.S.-based position with a base salary of $150,000–$160,000.
