About this role
AMAROK, a 30-year-old leader in perimeter security systems protecting thousands of commercial and industrial properties nationwide, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join its expanding Field Operations team based in Chicago. You'd be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades at customer sites across a 150–250 mile service radius, working Monday through Friday with overnight travel. The role also involves assisting with site planning and system commissioning, managing your own daily route and priorities, maintaining customer relationships, and handling documentation and expense reporting.
This position suits someone with at least two years of hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting systems—ideally with access control or fire alarm background. You'll need to be comfortable with physical demands: lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders up to 30 feet, and operating power tools like aerial lifts, concrete saws, and augers. OSHA certification or familiarity with OSHA compliance is strongly preferred. The role requires a valid driver's license, strong troubleshooting skills, basic math ability, and a self-directed approach to managing your service territory.
