About this role
BHE Renewables is seeking a Financial Analyst or Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning and reporting for a major energy infrastructure operation. You would own the compilation and analysis of financial reports, variance analysis against forecasts and budgets, and maintenance of the proprietary budget and forecast module. The role requires you to bridge accounting and finance functions, ensuring consistent processes and accurate reporting, while also identifying financial risks and opportunities for management consideration.
This position demands strong technical skills—expert-level spreadsheet modeling, thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial statements, and proficiency with accounting software and databases. You'll need three to six years of progressive experience in financial accounting, planning, or public accounting, depending on whether you're applying at the Analyst or Senior level. Equally important are your communication and interpersonal abilities; you'll interact across management levels, train colleagues, and present findings clearly.
The role is based in Omaha and requires in-office presence, with extended hours expected during planning cycles and critical periods. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred, though equivalent work experience can substitute. If you thrive in a structured environment where accuracy, analytical depth, and cross-functional collaboration matter, and you're comfortable with deadline-driven work in a regulated industry, this could be a strong fit.
