About this role
Ascension's family clinic in Waco is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse for a temporary in-office position focused on frontline patient care. You would manage the clinical intake experience—taking vital signs, documenting health histories, and creating a welcoming environment for patients across all ages. Beyond intake, you'd coordinate preventive screenings and immunizations, handle patient communications around lab results and pharmacy requests, and educate families on treatment plans and wellness practices to support ongoing health management.
The role requires a current LPN/LVN license for Texas (or equivalent through the Nurse Licensure Compact) and BLS certification obtained within 30 days of your start date. A high school diploma or one year of relevant clinical experience is also required. Prior clinic experience is preferred but not mandatory. This position suits someone comfortable with direct patient interaction, organized enough to manage multiple administrative touchpoints, and motivated by preventive care and patient education in a primary care setting.
