About this role
Lovejoy Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care in Boston's North End is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to work weekends, blending general practice with urgent care for companion animals. You'd join a well-staffed team with a 2.5-to-1 technician-to-doctor ratio, handling everything from routine wellness and dentistry to same-day urgent cases. The role offers genuine scheduling flexibility with no on-call requirements, making it suited for someone seeking predictable part-time work rather than the typical on-call demands of veterinary medicine.
The position requires a DVM or VMD from an accredited school and an active Massachusetts license. While experience triaging urgent cases is preferred, it's not a dealbreaker if your background is primarily general practice. You'd be working in a community-focused environment that emphasizes collaborative care and diversity. Compensation ranges from $80,000 to $110,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus available through ProSal.
