About this role

Plainfield Veterinary Clinic is expanding its leadership team as the practice grows, and they're looking for a hands-on Practice Manager who can balance day-to-day operations with strategic development. You'd work closely with veterinarians and support staff to streamline workflows, manage staffing, and ensure the hospital runs smoothly while maintaining the quality of care the community has come to expect. This role requires someone comfortable being present on the floor—coaching employees, solving problems, and supporting the doctors so they can focus on patient care.

The position calls for at least five years of office or practice management experience, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role. Veterinary hospital management experience is strongly preferred, as is a CVPM certification, though the clinic will consider equivalent combinations of education and experience. You'll need strong organizational and leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively while holding people accountable, and comfort with financial and operational metrics. This is a full-time, in-person role in Plainfield with Monday-to-Friday day shifts and occasional weekend coverage.

The clinic offers standard benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, paid time off, life insurance, and an employee discount. If you're drawn to veterinary practice management and want to help shape a growing hospital's operations and culture, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact during an important growth phase.
