About this role
Spot Inc. is seeking a Pricing Analyst to serve as a bridge between sales, product, and data teams in the logistics marketplace. You'll own the full proposal lifecycle—from RFQ intake through pricing development, quality assurance, and post-bid analysis—working directly with account leaders and sales managers to ensure competitive, margin-conscious bids. The role demands deep familiarity with freight modes (dry van, reefer, flatbed) and the ability to leverage market intelligence and lane-level benchmarks to pressure-test pricing assumptions and identify gaps.
Success here requires three to five years in 3PL or brokerage, with strong project management discipline and the analytical chops to wrangle large datasets across multiple sources. You'll need to communicate effectively across stakeholder groups, influence pricing decisions, and partner with the data science team to refine models and tools. Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with SQL, Python, or R is a plus. This is a contract position based in Chicago, requiring full-time on-site presence, and suits someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys the detail work of financial and operational analysis.
