About this role
Weinstein Properties is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for their South Austin community—a role that combines hands-on technical work with genuine stability. You'd handle the full range of residential maintenance: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry across occupied and vacant units, plus grounds and amenity upkeep. The position requires EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and at least three years of apartment maintenance experience, with a strong emphasis on independent troubleshooting and customer service.
The compensation package includes $23/hour base pay plus $150 weekly on-call pay (whether called or not), holiday on-call bonuses, and quarterly performance bonuses up to $980. Benefits are solid: rent discount, PTO, paid holidays, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, and an employee assistance program. The schedule is standard Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with rotating emergency on-call duties shared across the team. Weinstein Properties manages its own properties, which they emphasize creates consistency and real advancement opportunities for staff who want to grow.
This role suits someone with genuine maintenance skills who values predictability and wants to be part of a stable operation rather than contract work.
