About this role

Working the front desk at The Ritz-Carlton's Montréal property means being the first and last point of contact for guests, handling everything from check-in and room assignments to payment processing and checkout. You'll manage reservations, activate room keys, process various payment methods, and resolve any billing issues that arise. Beyond transactions, you'll field guest calls and requests, coordinate with housekeeping on room readiness, arrange parking and bell staff services, and provide local information and directions. The role requires strong attention to detail—running daily reports, balancing cash, counting the bank at shift start and end, and ensuring all records are accurate before closing.

This is a full-time, in-office position that demands both interpersonal skill and operational competence. You'll need to welcome guests warmly while maintaining professional communication standards, anticipate their needs, and handle sensitive situations with discretion. The work is physically active, involving extended periods of standing and the ability to lift or carry items up to 10 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and no prior hospitality experience is required—what matters is your ability to manage multiple priorities, handle cash responsibly, and represent the Ritz-Carlton brand consistently. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoy guest interaction, this role offers a structured entry point into luxury hospitality.
