About this role
Leading ZoomInfo's Enterprise Apps AI Center of Excellence requires someone who can operate as both a hands-on engineer and people manager. You'll own the full lifecycle of AI/ML solutions—from identifying high-value use cases across Marketing, Sales, Finance, and HR to architecting, building, and deploying production systems. This means designing agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent systems using frontier models like GPT and Claude, while also managing and mentoring a geographically distributed team across the US and India.
The technical depth expected is substantial. You'll need 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in at least one backend language, plus proven production experience shipping GenAI and agentic systems. Beyond coding, you'll set quality standards through LLM evaluation frameworks and responsible AI practices, work with messy enterprise data at scale, and integrate AI solutions into existing systems via APIs and Model Context Protocol. Equally important is your ability to translate this technical work into business impact—partnering with leaders on ROI, presenting to executives, and educating both engineers and stakeholders on GenAI's real capabilities and limitations.
This role suits someone who thrives in startup-like agility within an established company, combines deep technical expertise with genuine mentorship instincts, and enjoys moving between hands-on development and strategic leadership. You'll need the communication skills to bridge technical and business conversations, and the initiative to research emerging AI trends and drive new opportunities for the organization.
