About this role

UL Solutions is seeking someone to be the operational backbone of its corporate sustainability efforts—coordinating the global Green Champion network, managing sustainability communications across internal and external channels, and administering award programs that recognize environmental progress. This hybrid role in Northbrook brings together community engagement, content management, and program governance, requiring you to work across multiple teams (Communications, Brand, Digital, subject-matter experts) while maintaining consistency in messaging and brand alignment. You'll also support the annual sustainability report and ESG compliance activities, serve as secretary to the ESG Steering Committee, and track metrics that demonstrate the impact of these initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in sustainability or a related field and combines self-direction with strong collaboration skills. You'll need to thrive in ambiguity, balance competing priorities without losing momentum, and communicate clearly—whether writing social content, editing corporate publications, or presenting program updates to leadership. This is a role for someone proactive and results-oriented who can manage calendars, documentation, and stakeholder follow-up while staying adaptable as priorities shift.

The position offers a salary range of $58,100 to $75,000, a 5% annual bonus target, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, and 27 days of paid time off annually. This is a full-time, hybrid arrangement based in Illinois.
