About this role

Twitch's Community Growth organization is hiring a full stack engineer to build the interactive features that keep viewers engaged with their favorite creators. You'd work on products like Channel Points, Polls, Predictions, and the Creator Dashboard—shipping code across web and mobile clients while also owning backend services that power these experiences at scale. The role sits at the intersection of product thinking and technical execution, requiring you to work backward from viewer and creator problems alongside product managers, designers, and other engineers.

You'll need solid professional software development experience and a track record shipping consumer-facing products. The job calls for proficiency in modern languages and frameworks—Go, React, Kotlin, Swift, or Objective-C—plus the ability to think through and deliver quality user experiences end-to-end. A CS degree or equivalent is required. If you've worked with React, TypeScript, Go, or AWS services like ECS, DynamoDB, and Lambda, you'd be well-positioned; familiarity with Twitch or streaming is a bonus but not essential.

This is an in-office role in San Francisco with a base salary of $127,100–$185,000, plus sign-on payments and RSUs. Twitch offers standard benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) matching, flexible PTO, and parental leave.
